This is for all you new mommies! As a new mommies myself I can say that this first year has been a whirlwind, has gone by way too fast, and I was way too hard on myself in the first few months. There has been a lot of lessons learned along the way and I have found a new level of patience, that I never knew I could have. It defiantly hasn’t been all roses and sunshine but it has been the most meaningful and rewarding experience.
And over this past year I have had the pleasure to watch and share in this journey with a few other brand new mommies. Watching and celebrating with them in their own journeys has been amazing.
We as women and as mothers, we are stronger and tougher than we think we are. And something magical happens when we stop comparing ourselves and our journey to others. Nothing is ever going to be textbook and we all wont be able to do x-y or z.
But we all do have control over, how we love ourselves and each-other through it. So let us find grace and confidence in our weaknesses and lift each other up as we walk through the same valleys.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
